OUR STORY

Every time we tell a tale, we are stirring the embers of our ancestors.

The Embers Collective is a London based storytelling and live music collective. Formed by three friends; a writer, an actor and a musician who wanted to put on events with a focus on community, and driven by a passion for the art of sharing stories.

Our events bring audiences together through the exploration of myths and folklore from all over the world. Each of our stories is accompanied by a live, professional multi-instrumentalist whose soundscapes take listeners on a journey. We welcome you to our warm embrace.

‘You guys were just pure magic I'm in love ! Thank you.’

‘This was a lot of fun, tears and laughter’

‘Definitely one of the highlights of Shambala this year! Thank you guys!’

LONAN JENKINS

Lonan is a writer, storyteller and teacher. Born and raised in Ireland and having lived in the cold north of Europe, he finds himself drawn to the epics of Celtic and Norse Mythology. In his work he has always been motivated by the importance of education and community; two things which continue to influence his storytelling and writing.

TIM KARP

To his disappointment on his 12th Birthday, Tim Karp received a black and white Squire Stratocaster instead of a Scalextric. Reluctantly he began to play and his natural talent soon became a passion. 18 years later and he has since travelled to many countries, jamming with locals and learning music from across the world. A musician who teaches his passion in schools across London and finds time to play in a multitude of bands; from Balkan, Samba, cinematic sound, mashed up hits and originals.
